Just a quick card from me today featuring the beautiful Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose Collectionby Sue Smyth.

To achieve this card I started by choosing a piece of pattern paper from the Rambling Rose  12x12 paper pad and cut it at a size to suit a 5x7 inch card.

I then added some Decorative Black Lace from the Magnolia Lane Collection. Over this I added a length of Zipper.

Earlier I added a blob of Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour Silver to a piece of plastic scrunched it a little and then let it dry. Once dry I peeled it off and cut it in two.  Yes I could just add it to my card, but you would not get the dimension.

I then added some Couture Creations Pigment Powders to a spray bottle with some liquid hairspray and coloured 3 white flowers so that they were grey, black and pink.  Once dry I placed them in a cluster on the right hand side of my card front. Then added the dry Glitz pieces for effect.

I then cut some of the swallows from the Rambling Rose pattern paper and added them with foam mounting tape. Then stamped a sentiment from the Ultimate Crafts Oh La La collection.
Finally I added my card front to a colour co ordinating mat and card base.
This is a great all round card also perfect for MOTHERS DAY.

DragonFly dreams

Hi Everyone

As you know I love having a stash of cards just incase I get caught with a birthday or anniversary or something unexpectedly. So I have been filling my stash lately and made this one using the Ultimate Crafts L'Aquarelle Collection.

I love the way this card turned out and its so easy to do...
starting with a mat to suit a 5x7 card base.

I made a mix of Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment powder and liquid hair spray in a spray bottle and spritzed the matt Blue.

I then cut a die cut from scrap paper using the L'Aquarelle Flourish Background die. I sprayed the back of the die cut with basting spray and pressed it onto the front of my mat.
then using the Ultimate Crafts Pearl Drops and smeared it over the top of the background die cut. then lifted the die cut.

I then added a smear of Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour as well.

Then I added a line of Embossing and Foiling tape by Couture Creations and added some silver holographic foil.

I added some trim and white flowers that I spritzed the middle of with my pigment/hairspray mix. And the L'Aquarelle Mini Dragonfly die cut in white.

Then I added the L'Aquarelle DIY Dragonfly and some sequin and Couture Creations 3mm pearls and 2mm Gemstones. Then I added the entire mat to a card base made with Ultimate Crafts Card Stock.

I just love the shine that this card shines the pigment Powder, pearl drops and glitzin Glamour just add a depth of shine that is just gorgeous.

Hi Everyone

Its always good to have a few cards made ready for any occasion. I was caught a little while ago without any cards on hand and thought it was time to put a few away again, so I started with this any occasion card featuring the Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose Collection.

I started by selecting a couple of pattern papers from the Rambling Rose Collection Pack

Then selected a matching cardstock and cut mats for a 5x7 inch card base and distressed the edges.

I attached these mats together to form the basis of my card then from the back of my pattern paper I cut a tag.

I distressed the edges of my tag then spritzed it with a little water to loosen the fibres and then scrunched it into a ball. Then I smoothed it back out and let it dry.

I add the tag along with an Oh LaLa heart shaped Doily and a square from the other Rambling Rose Pattern paper that I distressed and inked the edges of. I then added some Black Magnolia Lane Lace for effect.

from the back of my second sheet of pattern paper I was able to cut a butterfly, bird bath and robin to add to my card as embellishments.

I added a bow of white ribbon and a pink Rose from the Rambling Rose 'Assorted Resin Pack.
I also added some Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour to the gorgeous robin and butterfly to finish off. I then added my card front to a grey coloured 5x7 card base made form Ultimate Crafts Silverstar Cardstock.

Hi Everyone

I hae to say it is just so easy to make cards when your using the new Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose Collection. I realise that we are all very strapped for time these days with kids, work and sport etc so when someones birthday or special occassion creeps up on us we are normally unprepared.
so here is a very quick card that can be done in about 15/20 minutes.

start with a 6x6 Ultimate Crafts card stock base and then cut the gorgeous pattern paper from the Rambling Rose Pattern Paper Pad. If you choose this particular paper you will see that the roses mirror each other on each side.

I simply cut a mat from one side of the pattern paper then I fussy cut the other roses and leaves from the left over side. And mounted them with Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape. Using different heights for differnet levels

I also cut the gorgeous butterfly out to 3D him. then using the Couture Creations Glitzin Glamour I added some sparkle to my roses. leaves and butterfly.

To finish off I cut a frame from the Rambling Rose Ephemera set diagonally and added it to the top corner of my card. Then using some word stamps I added a couple of sentiments.

Next time you get caught unaware grab your Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose and you will have not trouble creating something wonderful in just a few minutes.

Picture It

Hi Everyone

First of all I just want to thank everyone who joined us at Creative Inspiration Live. And a special thanks to all those who participated in my little challenges. I do hope it woke you all up enough to get you through the last part of the afternoon.
Last time I checked our Mannequin challenge video had been viewed just under 2000 times.

Now onto my blog post, which I must inform you all that whilst making this card my power went out so finished it by torch light. (note to self: do not scrap using the torch on your phone as your battery will run low and you will not have an alarm for the next morning!!!) So I do apologies for bad lighting on my pictures.

I must say I am in love with the New Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose Collection by Sue Smythe. It is just gorgeous and so very easy to work with.
I started with one of the papers from the Rambling Rose paper pad and cut a card mat from it to suit a 5x7 card base.

On the reverse side of the pattern paper was some gorgeous frames so I cut one out then cut the middle from it (dont do this in torch light its definitely not good) and attached the middle to my card front and the lifted the frame around it using Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape.

Then using the amazing embellishments for the Rambling Rose collection including the Cabochons, resin flowers, pin wheels , pearls and the ephemera pack I created this pretty little cluster at the left hand bottom of the frame. (OMG!! the embellishments are gorgeous!)

this cute little butterfly was also on my pattern paper so I cut him out and gave him a fresh coat of Couture Creations Irridescent Glitter and popped him on my frame.
I mounted all this on a mat and cardstock made from matching Ultimate Craft Cardstock.

This card is super quick and easy for all those time when you get caught without one already made!

Thanks so much for stopping by...

L'Aquarelle card

Hi Everyone

Oh my gosh it is getting so close to Creative Inspiration Live now.... Super Exciting!!
I have been playing with the almost released paper in preparation for the event and it is so mucn fun to use.

A super quick card for you all today, starting with the 6x6 L'Aquarelle paper pad.

I chose the above pattern paper from the pad as I love the shade of blue featured in the butterfly.
I cut this piece down to 5.6" x 3.6" card front. I also cut a matching blue cardstock mat 5.7" x 3.7" and a chocolate brown card base 6" x 4"

Using the Couture Creations Craft Knife I cut around the wings of the butterfly leaving the body attached. Then bent up the wings to create the effect of flight. Then I mounted the pattern paper onto the light blue mat and then onto my chocolate card base.

I then cut some lace and ribbon to go across the bottom of my card.
I then took a Couture Creations Beaded Flower with Script and took off the bead then turned it upside down.

In the middle I added some blue with the Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment Powders and water and let dry.

I then cut a white piece of card stock using the Ultimate Crafts Drifting Frond Die and inked it Chocolate Brown for a different effect. I then added the frond and the flower to my card front near the butterfly along with a couple of tie died flowers.

around my cluster of flowers I added some sequin and then topped it with some Couture Creations 2mm gemstones in Powder Blue. Also adding them across the ribbon i used.

I hope you have an awesome day and I will see you next weekend!!!

Hi Everyone

For those of you who do not know my gorgeous daughters have a passion for Cheerleading.
both of my girls are in several teams and compete several times a year.
In 2016 my eldest daughter and her team was lucky enough to win the Queensland State Championship for her level. And then later on in the year won the Australian National and Pinnacle Championships with one of her other teams.
Each year we celebrate with a Gala dinner where her State Championship team celebrated with a group photo. I decided to scrapbook this achievement like a good cheer Mum.

With all those different dress colours in the photograph it was perfect for the new Ultimate Craft L'Aquarelle Collection.

I started with a piece of Ultimate Crafts Snow White Cardstock and used the Couture Creations Anna Griffin Pigment powders mixed with some alcohol to spritz a background.

Take the long Die cut from the L'Aqurelle Die cut pack and cut so that it forms a jagged border and add it over to the bottom third of the layout.

I hen took some of he L'Aquarelle pattern papers from the Paper Pad and ripped it into 3 large-ish pieces and 1 long. I add the long piece over the die cut border and then scattered the other 3 as my photo mats

I added some pigment powder to one of the other die cuts so that it matched the pattern papers that I chose. i added it to the side of a white card stock photo mat.

I then used some more of the pigment inks to colour the centre of some Couture Creations flowers.
Which I added to the corner of my layout along with a L'Aquarelle trinkets and a dragonfly charm.

Then I took a thin black marker and doodled around the entire layout, photo mat and other elements for effect.
