A JOURNEY

Hi Everyone

I love this picture of my darling daughter Jordyn.. She just looks so urban and definitely on a mission.....With the help of some Couture Creations Van Roe Dies I have managed to add it to a layout that suits it.

I would like to show you something that most of you will be devastated by!!
I have cut up an Embossing Folder!!! yep that s right cut it up inked it and used it and an embellishment!!!

Don't panic!!! I had 2...
You know when you go shopping and you really like something so you purchase it and then you get home and you already have it? Well this is what happened to me a little while ago with this folder... It is one of the folders from the Couture Creations 3 in 1 Collections.. that I have 2 of!! Before I cut up my Emboss Folder I used it to stamp some Gesso on my page and then......
I simply cut the folder with a pair of Couture Creations Precision Scissors into a wafer shape.

then with some hard surface ink I defined the wafers and added them to my layout with Couture Creations Glue Spots.
Using the Couture Creations Die Release paper (this stuff is the bomb!! it makes the cardstock just slip out of my dies!!! love it!!)  I then cut the Couture Creations Van Roe Journey, Dragonfly set and Royal Oval.

I Cut the Journey twice in alternate colours so that I could shadow it on my page.
And I stamped and wet embossed and image on the Royal Oval before adding to my layout.
I also added some super cool chipboard small arrows to this layout by imaginarium!!!

here is a close up of the Emboss Folder!!

Thanks so much for dropping by. We all have super busy lives so I hope this Layout inspires you to take a moment from your busy life for you, slow down and CRAFT!

HAPPY EVERYTHING

Hello Everyone

So excited to be working with the new Van Roe Collection from Couture Creations... This super gorgeous range of dies will be in stores very shortly... I particularly love the cute little 2 step dragonfly in this collection, as you can see it is just the right size for cards as well as scrapbooking  layouts and its just so cute!

For this card I chose some book paper for the front and I gently rubbed some chocolate ink into the edges using a Couture Creations Sponge Dauber... I love the way the daubers give a softer effect.

Then I used a pair of Couture Creations Non Stick Scissors to distress the edge and used the Couture Creations 12mm Double Sided Tape to secure it to the front of my card base.

Using the Couture Creations Scalloped Rectangle and Square Nesting Dies I cut a mat and Picture Pattern Paper. I inked the edges of both and distressed the picture Piece. I also cut a small strip with the Couture Creations Momento Chandelier Set and inked its edges.

I then adhered my rectangles to my card base with Couture Creations 18mm Foam Mounting Tape and then took the chandelier strip and cut it to size and threaded thin ribbon through the hearts in the centre of the die cut.

Cutting one of those cute little Couture Creations Dragonfly Sets in alternate colours and covered the top layer with Couture Creations Glitzin' Glamour Crystalina for a bit of sparkle.
I also cut one of the Couture Creations Sign Posts and added some stamps.
The just right chipboard on the front of my card is one of the words from Imaginarium Designs: Love Cherish Adore Small, which I have inked to match the rest of the card.

I added some flowers and gauze to finish of my card using a Couture Creations Adhesive Pearls Moonlight to finish the centre of the flowers.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to visit the Couture Creations Blog.
I hope that this little project has inspired you,
to get your craft on!

If you are on the South Side of Brisbane you can join myself and Kerrie Gurney for some Couture Creations Classes on Saturday the 31st of May at 9.30am for just $15.
